Time and Location of weekly meetings:

  • Day and time: Wednesdays from 1900-2100 (7-9 pm).
  • Location: American Legion Post 109, 1610 Old Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus, MD 21227.
  • Google Map | Mapquest Map | Yahoo Map
  • General Directions: When you turn onto Old Sulphur Spring Road continue to the dead end, turn left and go up the hill, follow the driveway lined with flag poles, park anywhere, enter through the main entrance (the one with the double set of 3 glass doors).

Weekly Agenda:

  • FMCS follows a 4-week schedule. Each week has a specific agenda, but the actual schedule may vary or change from time to time as necessary.
  • If there is a 5th week in any particular month, please check with squadron leadership or the squadron calendar about details for that week. Often there will be some kind of social, fun, or team building activity planned on the 5th week, and the location could be somewhere other than the regular meeting location.

Holiday Policy:

  • The squadron does not meet for regular meetings on days that coincide with major holidays.
  • The squadron may participate in special events and other outside activities on certain holidays (such as parades, community events, memorial services, etc.). Participate is always strongly encouraged, but always optional.

Inclement Weather Policy:

  • FMCS does not automatically follow closings of schools or any other organization. Squadron leadership makes their own determination whether or not to cancel meetings. Notification usually occurs by phone or email.
  • Everyone's situation is unique. Always use good judgment. Remember 2 of the principles of ORM (Operational Risk Management): accept no unnecessary risks, accept risk when benefits outweigh the cost.
  • Manage risks by following the 6 steps of ORM: identify the hazards, assess the risks, analyze the risk control measures, make control decisions, implement risk controls, supervise and review.
