- Complete Cadet Protection Policy Training by following these directions:
- Complete the following Civil Air Patrol Foundations Courses and quizzes:
- Complete Operational Security Training (OPSEC).
- Complete Basic Operational Risk Management (ORM).
- Complete Equal Opportunity Briefing (EO).
After you complete the above training you will eligiable for the Member Ribbon. You will need to choose a Specialty Track to pursue within the Civil Air Patrol. Below are a few speciality's to pursue and is not an all-inclusive list: - Personnel
- Public Affairs Officer
- Administration
- Flight Operations Officer
- Emergency Service Officer
- Communications Officer
- Aerospace Education Officer
- Historian
- Information Technology Officer
Level 2 Training (Technical Training) - Complete Squadron Leadership School
- Complete the Officer Basic Course
- The following military education can be submitted for the Officer Basic Course:
- Any U.S. Armed Forces NCO Academy (E-5 through E-6)
- Airman Leadership School (ALS) if taken after 2001
- Earn a Technician Rating in a Specialty Track
After completing the steps above you will earn the Benjamin O' Davis Award and be authorized to wear the Leadership Ribbon. Level 3 Training (Management Training) Complete Corporate Learning Course (CLC) Attend two major conferences Earn a Senior Rating in a specialty track
After completing the above steps you will earn the Grover Loerning Award and will be authorized to wear the Loerning Ribbon. Level 4 Training (Command and Staff) Complete Region Staff College or Equivalent Occupy a Command or Staff position for 2 years Serve as a Staff member in a Wing level course or conference Complete one of the following: Prepare and deliver a CAP presentation to a non-CAP group Conduct a hands-on unit Aerospace Education program, or and external Aerospace Education classroom program. Earn the Yeager Award
Earn a Master Rating in a Specialty Track
After completing the above steps you will earn the Paul E. Garber Award and be authorized to wear the Garber Ribbon. Level 5 Training (Executive) Occupy a Command or Staff position for a total of 3 years Conduct Level 1 Foundation Course summary conversationsand serve as a director or staff capacity in a CAP approved course Complete National Staff College or equivalent
After completing the above steps you will earn the Gill Robb Wilson Award and be authorized to wear the Gill Robb Wilson Ribbon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
