SSgt Donald EllsCommander of the Civil Air Patrol's Fort McHenry Composite Squadron, 1st Lt Donald Ells, distinguished himself among his Air Force peers by winning the 70th Intelligence Support Squadron, Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of the Quarter for two consecutive periods. Donald Ells serves as an active duty Staff Sergeant (SSgt) in the United States Air Force and participates as a volunteer in the Civil Air Patrol. SSgt Ells recently distinguished himself among more than 120 other NCOs in the 70th Intelligene Support Squadron, and was selected NCO of the Quarter for the fourth quarter, 2008 and the first quarter, 2009. Quarterly award nominees are evaluated based on three areas of conduct: leadership and job performance, significant self-improvement, as well as base and community involvement.
