Photo Credit: 1Lt Donald EllsCATONSVILLE, Md. - On 11 April, three members from Fort McHenry Composite Squadron (FMCS) attended training in cariopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) at Bloomsbury Community Center. CPR is a combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions to help people in cardiac arrest. An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses types of heart attacks. It uses electrical therapy - a shock - to allow the heart to reestablish a normal rhythm.
