GLEN BURNIE, Md. -– Maj. William Parris assumed command of Group II of the Civil Air Patrol Maryland Wing during a change of command ceremony held this past weekend at Wing headquarters in Glen Burnie, Md. Parris accepted the group flag in the traditional ceremony as Lt. Col. Christian Ready relinquished the command he held for three years.
The ceremony also included a change of responsibility for Lt. Col. John Weiser, who became the Wing Chief of Staff, replacing Lt. Col. Bruce Drury, who served in the position since May 2006. Col. Jerry Weiss, Maryland Wing commander, praised the work done by both Ready and Drury and expressed his appreciation for their service. |
